Lake Elsinore Trapped Feral Gray Kittens

People found a feral momma cat and her kittens underneath their home.  They were able to trap the kittens but not the mom.

Update: We were later able to trap the mother cat.  She was spayed and tested for feline leukemia.  Her test results were negative so she was released back to live as a feral but since she is spayed, it will help with ending pet overpopulation.  Read her follow-up story here.

Sisters – White Ragdoll Cats for Pet Adoption

Meet sister Zizi and Lily! Here is an update from Volunteer Shell. Her neighbor is looking to rehome the sisters:
“They are absolutely stunning! They may be Ragdolls or Ragdoll mixes. They are sisters and a bonded pair of deaf, declawed, nine year olds. They adopted them from a lady about 4 years ago- they were already declawed at that time. All they really know about the previous home is that the lady had adopted them from the shelter years before and she was moving and didn’t want to take cats with her. The lady was a neighbor of theirs so they took the cats on because they didn’t want to see them go back to the shelter but they have a large dog who looks at the kitty cats like snacks.

They have done a good job of keeping the dog and cats separated but the dog recently learned how to open doors. They are in fear that one of these days their back is going to be turned and he’s going to get one or both cats, especially since the cats don’t have their claws as defense. So they want to see the cats go to a home where they will be safer. They are continuing to foster the cats while we look for a home for them.”

Cat Rescue of Mama Torrie and her Kittens

Mama Torrie was living with a pack of other stray and feral cats in a condominium complex in Hemet. Her finder moved in almost a year ago and has been feeding this cat because she likes to hang around her place and is up on her roof a lot. We think but do not know for sure that it is possible her owners used to live in that same home and then just left their cat behind when they moved send Torrie seems to prefer that place so much. Shell helped to trap pregnant Torrie.

On Monday, April 2nd, Torrie gave birth in the morning to two beautiful kittens. Because she was so large and she was continuing to breathe rather heavily as though she was still in labor we ended up taking her into the vet yesterday to check and see whether or not she had any more kittens stuck inside her. It turns out that she’s just a little bit chunky and does not have any more kittens stuck inside of her which is good. She is a very good mother, very loving, takes excellent care of both of her babies and they are eating and moving well. The dark, solid colored one looks to be male, and Shell thinks the other will end up with a Torbi or Torti color pattern once older and is a female. Mom is a Torbi though looks more tabby as her orange splashes are light and only around the back legs/bum area.
