Saving feline lives in Temecula, CA & beyond

Meet Celeste! The foster has this to say about Celeste:

A woman found two black and white pregnant female cats in her carport. She took them into her apartment. This kitten is from one of the mothers. The kittens were picked up by our rescue on 4/22/18.
The kittens for this litter include Bat Girl (black female), Bolt (B&W male), Bolt (B&W male), Mittens (B&W female)
This kitten’s foster home said this about him:
“Bolt is a lightning bolt of energy, all he ever wants to do is run and play. You will always be entertained with this little munchkin running around. And the little lightning bolt on his back just adds character to his fun personality. ”

This is a kitten being fostered in a private home by our cat rescue. We are a rescue and not a shelter so we do not have a facility. The kitten will not be available to meet until an adoption event at PetSmart in Temecula. We are unable to bring any unsterilized animals to the adoption event per PetSmart policies but we will have updates on our cats posted on our blog, Facebook, and our newsletter.

At the adoption event, there will be an interview to discuss whether you understand and are willing to take on the responsibilities involved with owning a cat. The first qualified person interested in an animal will be able to adopt the feline(s). If people have indicated interest in advance, we will go through that list of names first before adopting to anyone who is present at the event.

Foster Sadie shared this update and photos:
“Bella was posted as a pregnant stray and the moment I saw her I knew I had to take her home so she could give birth safely. She immediately adapted to my home and had her babies the same day. She a bit of trouble during delivery I had to help her free 2 babies from their sack but in the end she successfully delivered 5 babies.Bella instantly became part of my family so she is staying here with us along with one of her kittens so she has a buddy. But there is 4 other beautiful babies that will need a forever home they won’t be ready for quite a few weeks (they are only 3 weeks old) but they would love to be apart of your family and become your best friends so meet Bellas wonderful kittens; Hercules, Hades, Felix, and Gypsy. 3 males and 1 female”

Shell took photos of the wide variety of cats and kittens that are coming up soon for adoption! Overall we have about 60 kittens and it is just the start of kitten season. We rescue cats from Temecula and surrounding areas, such as, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, and Hemet.
If you are interested in adopting, you can download, complete and application, and email it to info@babybobbysmeowhouserescue.org.

From our Facebook Page:
Thank you for all that you do for these precious kitties. Rufus (previously Cheddar) is growing healthily and is a loving and cheeky cat who loves to play fetch with his catnip mice and my husband’s smelly socks. He is a joy in our lives, made possible because of your efforts.

If you have a “happy tails” story to share, you can either post on the Facebook page or email a photo and story at info@babybobbysmeowhouserescue.org.

60 KITTENS! Shell was off to the rescue again when she saw an online post from an auto yard giving away kittens. Even though we are overfull, she worried that another interested party may want to pick them up for snake food.
We were able to rescue these kittens thanks to a new foster volunteer, Sadie. We do turn away many people who ask for help given our limited resources.

People found a feral momma cat and her kittens underneath their home. They were able to trap the kittens but not the mom.

Update: We were later able to trap the mother cat. She was spayed and tested for feline leukemia. Her test results were negative so she was released back to live as a feral but since she is spayed, it will help with ending pet overpopulation. Read her follow-up story here.

Meet sister Zizi and Lily! Here is an update from Volunteer Shell. Her neighbor is looking to rehome the sisters:
“They are absolutely stunning! They may be Ragdolls or Ragdoll mixes. They are sisters and a bonded pair of deaf, declawed, nine year olds. They adopted them from a lady about 4 years ago- they were already declawed at that time. All they really know about the previous home is that the lady had adopted them from the shelter years before and she was moving and didn’t want to take cats with her. The lady was a neighbor of theirs so they took the cats on because they didn’t want to see them go back to the shelter but they have a large dog who looks at the kitty cats like snacks.
They have done a good job of keeping the dog and cats separated but the dog recently learned how to open doors. They are in fear that one of these days their back is going to be turned and he’s going to get one or both cats, especially since the cats don’t have their claws as defense. So they want to see the cats go to a home where they will be safer. They are continuing to foster the cats while we look for a home for them.”

We were notified of a feral mother cat and her kittens in Santiago Estates in Temecula, CA. We were able to trap the kittens and plan to work on trapping the mom so as to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation.
The kittens will be available for adoption once they are about 2.5 – 3 pounds or 8-11 weeks old. If you are interested in adopting, then please email us at info@babybobbysmeowhouserescue.org.
